SAGA: Saitama Association of Global Awareness

SAGA is the volunteer organization which helps the international residents (including STEPS students) adjust to life in Saitama. The association’s activities include organizing the ‘nice to meet you party’ and other intercultural events for STEPS students. The association also helps the international residents find a Japanese host family during their stay in Japan. Furthermore, language courses are provided to those who want to improve their Japanese proficiency.

The “Puratto” Salon at the International Exchange Center on the 9th floor of COMUNALE is operated by civic volunteers. At the salon, you can use a counseling window, message board and many other facilities. A variety of exchange events are also held here.
