Since International students come to Japan to engage in their studies and research here at Saitama University, it is not recommended to work, even part-time.
However, if it is judged that it does not interfere your study and research, you may apply for gPermission to engage in an activity other than that permitted by the status of residence previously grantedh and you may receive permission to work no more than 28 hours per week (8 hours a day or less during long vacation like summer vacation).
But in case of auditors it is 14 hours per week or less (8 hours a day or less during long vacation).
If you wish to engage in activities mentioned above, please apply to the Office of International Exchange.
When you apply under the new system, you must meet the following requirements:
Passport, Alien registration card and Student ID card,
School transcript (Only undergraduate students)
