The Teacher Training Program aims to cultivate teachers who have strong profession in school education through the implementation of both theoretical and practical researches and trainings that are sensitive to human, society and the nature.
Visiting instructors from each area provide tutorials on specialized content to fulfill the goals of teacher training students.
The Faculty of Education aims to foster human resources who possess a global perspective and knowledge with a vision of "human growth, development and existence." Its educational system is focused on enhancing each specialization with depths of content knowledge.

The program provides participants with opportunities to meet with other scholars at the Center for International Exchange and get-togethers with students enrolled at the Graduate School of Education, as well as laboratories and courses where teacher training students may deepen their friendship with other students.
To support the program participants in various aspects of their academic studies and daily living, the university also provides consultations and advice concerning issues international students face during their stay in Japan.
Established in 1949, Saitama University is composed of five undergraduate faculties and four graduate schools. The education seminar also participates in the United Graduate School of Education's research seminars (post-graduate courses) that have been established at Tokyo Gakugei University.
Saitama University is located in Saitama City, which is part of the Tokyo metropolitan area. With easy access to Tokyo and well established transportation services, the city has good reputation as a livable residential city. The city is blessed with rich green environment, and is actively promoting soccer and a variety of other sports activities.
International House, an on-campus housing facility of the university, has 98 rooms for single students, 55 rooms for married couples and 19 rooms for families, and can accommodate approximately 170 individuals.
Participants in this program would be given priority for accommodations in International House.
